Beyond June: Keeping the Conversation Alive

Beyond June: Keeping the Conversation Alive

The End of the Month, Not the End of the Message

July has arrived, and with it, the official close of Men’s Mental Health Month.
But grief doesn’t follow a calendar.
And neither should compassion.

Over the past four weeks, I’ve shared some of the hardest, most personal stories I’ve ever written — about my brother Nicki, his struggle, and what it means to be the one left behind. Your responses, messages, shares, and quiet support have moved me more than I can say.

Thank you.
For reading.
For listening.
For seeing him — and me.

What Happens After Awareness Month?

Awareness months are important. They focus the spotlight. They get conversations going.

But the truth is:
Mental health doesn’t pause when June ends.
Men don’t stop struggling.
Families don’t stop grieving.

If anything, now is the time to ask ourselves — what next?

How do we keep showing up?
How do we keep listening — really listening — when someone opens up?
How do we keep honouring the ones we’ve lost… and supporting the ones still here?

What Camrhisa Will Carry Forward

Here at Camrhisa Designs, I’ll always hold space for these stories.
I created this business during a time of heartbreak and healing, and it will forever be rooted in both.

You’ll still see blog posts and moments that honour my brother.
You’ll still see reminders to check in on your people.
You’ll still see gentle prompts to create calm, caring spaces in your home — and your heart.

Because the work doesn’t end when the month does.

💛 To Everyone Who Walked With Me This June

You helped me carry something heavy.
You reminded me why I keep writing.
And you gave Nicki’s story a place to land — not just in memory, but in meaning.

Thank you, truly.

Let’s keep going.
Let’s keep talking.
Let’s keep listening.

With all my heart,
Jamie
